Local legislator introduces bill involving $7 million in bonding dollars for the city of Austin’s wastewater treatment facility renovation project

Work continues at the capitol building in St. Paul during the 2021 Minnesota legislative session, and State District 27B Representative Patricia Mueller, a Republican from Austin stated to KAUS that she introduced her first bill recently that involves $7 million in bonding dollars the city of Austin will receive for its wastewater treatment facility renovation project…

The city of Austin was seeking $17 million in bonding dollars for the project, and city leaders have stated that they will be looking to Mueller and new District 27 Senator Gene Dornink of Hayfield to help obtain the remaining $10 million in bonding dollars needed for the project if there is a bonding bill introduced during this session.Â
