Local legislator comments on Gov. Tim Walz signing a coronavirus response funding bill Tuesday
Governor Tim Walz Tuesday signed a bill designating 21 million more dollars for the state’s response to coronavirus. District 27 Senator Dan Sparks, DFL’er from Austin spoke with KAUS and stated that it was good to see the bill passed unanimously by both Democrats and Republicans…
Sparks stated that the $21 million in state funding to help combat the virus will work together with Minnesota’s share of approximately $8 billion approved at the federal level to assist states in addressing COVID-19 issues…..
State Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm stated that while all Minnesota cases so far have come from a known source of exposure, more general spread of coronavirus is quite likely at some point. She added that Minnesota is *not* to the point where state officials are recommending that large gatherings be cancelled.
