Blooming Prairie woman injured in two-vehicle accident in Mower County late Friday morning

A Blooming Prairie woman sustained non-life threatening injuries in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 218 in Mower County late Friday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2005 Ford Freestyle being driven by 18-year old Chasten James Wilkie of Waltham was eastbound on County Road 1 at approximately 11:49 a.m Friday morning when he collided with a 2002 Buick Century at the intersection with Highway 218 being driven by 71-year old Diane Kay Boullion of Blooming Prairie.  The State Patrol indicated that Boullion was northbound on Highway 218 at the time of the collision.

Bouillon suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin for treatment of her injuries.  Wilkie was uninjured.  The State Patrol reported that both parties were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident, and the Mower County Sheriff’s Office assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Friday morning.
