Annual “Fishing for a Cure” event for Paint the Town Pink to be held at Austin Eagles Club Saturday
The annual “Fishing for a Cure” event for the “Paint the Town Pink” initiative to raise funds for cancer research at the Hormel Institute in Austin will be held tomorrow at the Eagles Club of Austin. Due to the unseasonably warm weather as of late, the event will be unable to be held at Eastside Lake this year, but organizer Glenn Newman told KAUS that the event will go on at the Eagles Club instead….
A large part of the event every year are the silent and live auctions that are held, and Newman talked about just some of the items that will be auctioned off on Saturday…
Newman went on to state that the event itself pre-dates the Paint the Town Pink initiative….
The silent auction and the meal, which will consist of pulled pork sandwiches and potato salad will take place from noon to 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, and a free-will donation will be taken for the meal. The live auction will be held at 3:30 p.m., and for more information, you can call or text Newman at (507) 438–0313, Zach at (507) 438-2352, and also Hayley at (507) 440-8167.
