Lyle/Pacelli Athletics boys basketball team falls to P-E-M 55-47 Saturday

The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics boys basketball team, who wound up a three-game road swing with a 65-30 win in Grand Meadow Friday night were right back into action Saturday afternoon versus Planview-Elgin-Millville at the Rochester Civic Center, and it was the Bulldogs utilitzing a 9-0 second half run to down the Athletics 55-47.

Lyle/Pacelli led 38-37 in the second half before P-E-M went on the 9-0 run to take a lead they would not relinquish at 46-38, and forward Dylan Christianson led the Athletics offensively Saturday with 16 points, plus he added five rebounds, one steal and three blocked shots, Landon Meyer was also in double figures with 10 points, plus he led LP in rebounds with seven, and he added one assist and a team-high three steals, Chase Bauer chipped in eight points, four rebounds, four assists, one steal and one blocked shot, Marshall Burma totaled six points and two rebounds, Isaac Nelsen scored four points, and Andrew Fredrick tallied three points Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, the Athletics are now 6-8 overall on the season, and they return to action Thursday evening at All Saints Arena versus Mabel-Canton in the Southeast Conference, with varsity tip-off at 7:15 p.m. that evening.
