Blooming Prairie woman injured in one-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 218 in Mower County Tuesday afternoon
A Blooming Prairie woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 218 in Mower County Tuesday afternoon.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2017 Mazda CX-5 being driven by 43-year old Jayna Mae Aldrich of Blooming Prairie was northbound on Highway 218 at approximately 2:57 p.m. Tuesday afternoon when she lost control of the vehicle and went into the ditch near mile marker 27 in Udolpho Township.
Aldrich sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and she was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin for treatment. The State Patrol indicated that alcohol was a factor in the crash, and they added that Aldrich was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident. Sheriff’s Offices from Mower and Steele Counties, Police and Fire Departments from Blooming Prairie, plus Blooming Prairie Ambulance all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Tuesday afternoon.
