Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team downs Randolph 72-49 Friday evening

The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team was looking to snap a two-game losing streak Friday night as they wrapped up a three-game road swing in Randolph verus the Rockets in a Gopher Conference matchup, and Gabe and Zack Hein led four Blossoms in double figures in scoring with 20 points apiece in a 72-49 Blooming Prairie win.

The Blossoms were able to pull away in the second half for the win as they led 30-23 at halftime, and the Blossoms also helped to secure the win by going 17 for 25 at the foul line compared to 5 for 8 for Randolph.  Besides Gabe and Zack Hein’s 20 points apiece, Brady Kittleson was also in double figures in scoring with 14 points, Gabe Staloch added 10 points, Cooper Cooke and Eric Garcia-Ramirez each scored three points, and Kolby Vigeland and Carter Bishop each tallied one point apiece in the win.

Blooming Prairie is now 18-2 overall on the season with the win and 10-1 in the Gopher Conference, and the Blossoms are back in action Monday evening as they play host to Triton in a Gopher Conference matchup, with tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
