Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team downs Hope Academy 90-62 Thursday evening
The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team was looking for win number 13 to start the season Thursday evening as they played host to Hope Academy, a private school from Minneapolis, and it was Gabe Hein pouring in 36 points to help lead the Blossoms to a 90-62 victory.
The Blossoms led 45-26 at the half, and besides Hein’s 36 points, Brady Kittleson totaled 17 points, Zack Hein tallied 13 points, guard Gabe Staloch was also in double figures with 11 points, Cooper Cooke and Jacob Pauly each accounted for five points apiece, and Kolby Vigeland nailed one of BP’s four 3-pointers in the game for three points in the win.
The Blossoms, who are the No. 8 ranked team in the state in the last Class A poll from the Minnesota Basketball News are now 13-0 overall on the season, and the Awesome Blossoms are right back on the court tonight (Friday) as they travel to Gopher Conference foe NRHEG, with tip-off in New Richland at 7:15 p.m.
