Amboy man injured in one-vehicle, rollover-type accident at the intersections of U.S. Highway 218 and Highway 30 in Blooming Prairie Monday morning

An Amboy man was injured in a one-vehicle, rollover-type accident at the intersection U.S. Highway 218 and Highway 30 in the city of Blooming Prairie early Monday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta being driven by 72-year old Donald Martin Ostberg of Amboy was eastbound on Highway 30 at approximately 5:44 a.m. Monday morning when his vehicle left the roadway and rolled at the intersection with Highway 218.

Ostberg sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and he was transported to Owatonna Hospital for treatment.  The State Patrol indicated that Ostberg was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, and the Steele County Sheriff’s Office, plus Mayo Ambulance both assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene early Monday morning.
