64th COVID-19 death, 30 additional cases recorded in Mower County Monday for cumulative total of 11,352

The Minnesota Department of Health on Monday recorded Mower County’s 64th COVID-19 related death in an individual 64-69 years of age.  They also recorded 10,884 confirmed and 468 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 11,352 since the onset of the pandemic, up 30 from Saturday and Sunday.  Health officials stated that the total number of positive cases, including reinfections  for the duration of the pandemic now stands at 1,364,884, and just over 1,314,000 people have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County reported 37,819 cumulative cases Monday, a rise of 125 from over the weekend, Steele County recorded 9,803 cumulative cases Monday, up 34 from Saturday and Sunday and Freeborn County confirmed 8,539 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, a rise of 33 from over the weekend.  Dodge County now has 5,366 cumulative cases, up 17 from Saturday and Sunday and Fillmore County reported 4,383 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up five from over the weekend.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 5,289 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 1,311,504, and they added that 35 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Friday to Monday for a cumulative total of 11,634 since the onset of the pandemic. A total of 58,150 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 10,855 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
