24 additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Thursday for cumulative total of 11,472

Mower County logged 11,001 confirmed and 471 probable COVID-19 cases Thursday for a cumulative total of 11,472 since the onset of the pandemic, up 24 from Wednesday, according to statistics released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that the total number of positive cases, including reinfections for the duration of the pandemic now stands at 1,383,555, and over 1,346,000 people have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 38,434 cumulative cases Thursday, a rise of 123 from Wednesday, Steele County reported 9,942 cumulative cases Thursday, up 37 from Wednesday and Freeborn County confirmed 8,645 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up 29 from Wednesday.  Dodge County now has 5,438 cumulative cases, up 16 from Wednesday and Fillmore County recorded 4,452 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, a rise of 11 from Wednesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 4,462 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Thursday for a cumulative total of 1,328,414, and they added that 39 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Wednesday to Thursday for a cumulative total of 11,761 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 58,887 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 10,964 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
