Lyle/Pacelli Athletics boys basketball team downs LeRoy/Ostrander 74-42 Thursday evening

The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics boys basketball team was looking to snap a three-game losing streak Thursday evening as they kicked off a three-game homestand at All Saints Arena versus Southeast Conference rival LeRoy/Ostrander, and it was the Athletics earning a split of the regular-season series between the two squads with a 74-42 win.

Landon Meyer went off for 29 points to lead LP in scoring Thursday evening, plus he added six rebounds, Chase Bauer notched a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, plus he added a team-high four assists, Marshall Burma totaled eight points, three rebounds and one assist, Dylan Christianson chipped in six points, seven rebounds and one assist in the winning effort, Leland Hicks and Logyn Brooks each scored five points apiece, Andrew Fredrick and Isaac Nelsen each tallied three points apiece, and Hunter Wollenberg scored one point in the win.

The Athletics are now 7-9 in the Southeast Conference and 9-12 overall, while LeRoy/Ostrander drops to 5-11 in the conference, and 6-16 overall on the season with the loss.  Lyle/Pacelli returns to action tonight (Friday) at All Saints Arena versus Rochester STEM Academy, with tip off at 7:15 p.m., while the Cardinals are off until next Tuesday when they travel to Alden/Conger, with the varsity tip off at 7:15 p.m. that evening.
