Wisconsin infant injured in one-vehicle accident in Austin Tuesday evening
An infant from Wisconsin suffered non-life threatening injuries in a one-vehicle accident on eastbound I-90 in Austin Tuesday evening.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2009 Chevy Impala being driven by 21-year old Olga Enid Hernandez Rivera of Racine, Wisconsin was traveling eastbound on I-90 in Austin at 7:46 p.m. Tuesday evening when her vehicle hydroplaned on the wet road and crashed into the median wall near milepost 179.
Rivera was uninjured but a female infant in her vehicle, Juv Juv Juv of Racine, Wisconsin suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin.
The State Patrol reported that both Rivera and Juv were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident, and the Austin Police Department and Mayo Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
