West Concord man injured in two-vehicle accident involving two Austin residents in Mantorville Friday afternoon

A West Concord man was injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon involving two residents from Austin on Highway 57 in the city of Mantorville.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2003 Chevy Silverado being driven by 49-year old Nicklaus Steven July of West Concord was northbound on Highway 57 at approximately 2:01 p.m. Friday afternoon, while a 2021 Chevy Silverado being driven by 56-year old Gregory Allan Rud of Austin was westbound on 7th Street.  The State Patrol reported that the two vehicles collided at the intersection of the two roads.

July suffered non-life threatening injuries, and he was transported to Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment, while both Rud and a passenger in his vehicle, 54-year old Martha Ann Vrieze of Austin, were uninjured.  The State Patrol indicated that all parties involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts, and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Friday afternoon.
