A Wells woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 90 in Freeborn County Thursday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2005 Chevy Tahoe being driven by 48-year old Kim Elizabeth Kastens of Wells was westbound on I-90 at 4:52 p.m. Thursday afternoon when her vehicle left the roadway and rolled into the median at milepost 155 in Manchester Township.

Kastens suffered non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and she was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Albert Lea for treatment.  The State Patrol indicated that the road was covered with snow and ice at the time of the accident, and they added that Kastens was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.  

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Thursday afternoon.
