UFCW Local 9 Union and Hormel Foods come to tentative agreement on new contract

The UFCW Local 9 union and Hormel Foods Corporation have come to a tentative agreement on a new contract.

Officials with Local P-9 stated that the two sides came to the tentative agreement during negotiations Friday.  The union will hold informational meetings with its members Wednesday and Thursday, and a vote on the contract will take place Tuesday, October 15th.  

99% of the union’s members voted to reject the last offer from Hormel with strike authorization. The union’s current contract with Hormel expires on October 8th.
