Two divers from Austin Packers girls swimming and diving team advance to finals

A pair of divers from the Austin Packers girls swimming and diving team are on their way to the State Class A finals after their performances in the prelminaries and semi-finals at the Jean C. Freeman Aquatic Center at the University of Minnesota Wednesday afternoon.

Sophomore Reese Norton tallied the second-best score in the prelminary round of 171.60, just behind junior Nellie Dahlsin of New Prague, who tallied a score of 172.25, and Norton is in sixth place overall after the semi-finals with a score of 253.20.  Sophomore Alayna Kennedy for Austin was in 14th place after the preliminiaries with a score of 149.30, and she remained in 14th place after the semi-finals with a total score of 235.95.

The Class A swimming and diving finals are scheduled to start at noon on Friday.
