Two Austin men arrested after a report of a male subject smoking marijuana on the front steps of a residence in northeast Austin

A report to law enforcement on the afternoon of June 24 concerning a male subject smoking marijuana on the front steps of a residence in the 100 block of 13th Street Northeast in Austin wound up leading to two Austin men being arrested and then charged in Mower County District Court.  

Gills Davis

40-year old Dale Wayne Gills has been charged with felonies for second-degree drugs, sale of 10 grams or more of a narcotic other than heroin, third-degree drugs, possession of 10 grams or more of a narcotic other than heroin and fifth-degree drug possession, plus a petty misdemeanor charge for possession of a small amount of marijuana.

22-year old Antoine Davis, who is currently awaiting disposition on a recent charge of robbery while possessing a dangerous weapon. has been charged with three counts of felony fifth-degree drug possession, a misdemeanor for fleeing a peace officer by a means other than a motor vehicle and a misdemeanor for tampering with a motor vehicle.

Both Gills and Davis are scheduled to make their next appearance in Mower County District Court on July 9th.
