Two Albert Lea residents injured in two-vehicle accident Sunday in Houston County
Two Albert Lea residents suffered non-life threatening injuries in a two-vehicle accident involving a semi Sunday afternoon on Highway 16 in Houston County.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2005 Mack semi being driven by 19-year old Seth Michael Betz of Lanesboro was eastbound on Highway 16 at approximately 3:40 p.m. Sunday afternoon, while a 2018 Honda CRV being driven by 66-year old Kent Dilworth Rahn of Albert Lea was westbound. The State Patrol reported that Rahn crossed over the centerline and sideswiped the semi being driven by Betz.
Betz was uninjured while Rahn and a passenger in his vehicle, 68-year old Marilyn Williams Rahn of Albert Lea suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse.
The State Patrol reported that all parties involved were wearing their seatbelts, and the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Houston Fire and EMS along with the Caledonia Police Department assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
