Twins want to be “buyers” prior to Tuesday’s trade deadline

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are hoping to be “buyers” prior to Tuesday Aug. 2nd’s Major League Baseball trade deadline.

Team president of baseball operations Derek Falvey said yesterday that his team is in in first-place and they are interested in “adding to this group” to make a run toward the postseason. He says they will “work this deadline” to find a way to improve the roster.

Minnesota is currently 53-48 on the season, leading Cleveland by two-games in the American League Central Division. The Chicago White Sox are three-games behind Minnesota.

Falvey says they have a lot to consider when making a trade, including how much they are willing to give up to get something of quality in return.

The deadline is 5 PM central time Tuesday.
