Total number of COVID-19 cases in Minnesota rises to 287, Mower County still with six cases

The Minnesota Department of Health reported Wednesday that the number of positive cases of COVID-19, or coronavirus in the state has risen to 287 after 262 cases were reported on Tuesday.

Health officials reported that there are currently 26 people being hospitalized, with 35 total cases requiring hospitalization.  The Minnesota Department of Health went on to report that 122 patients no longer need to be isolated, and the approximate number of completed tests from the Department of Health’s Public Health Lab stands at 6,365.  The approximate number of completed tests from external laboratories currently stands at 5,110.

Mower County still has six cases of COVID-19, while Olmsted County has seen its total number of cases rise from 18 to 21.  Fillmore, Dodge, Winona and Wabasha Counties all each have three cases, and Steele and Blue Earth County are each reporting five cases of COVID-19.
