Three additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Wednesday for cumulative total of 4,770
Mower County tallied 4,636 confirmed and 134 probable COVID-19 cases Wednesday for a cumulative total of 4,770 since the onset of the pandemic, up three from Tuesday, according to statistics released Wednesday by the Minnesota Department of Health. Health officials stated that 43,127 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and just over 599,200 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.
Olmsted County reported 13,488 cumulative cases Wednesday, up three from Tuesday, Steele County recorded 4,004 cumulative cases Wednesday, up one from Tuesday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,498 cumulative COVID-19 cases Wednesday, also up one from Tuesday. Dodge County tallied 1,886 cumulative cases Wednesday, which was unchanged from Tuesday and Fillmore County reported 1,589 cumulative COVID-19 cases Wednesday, up one from Tuesday.
The Minnesota Department of Health reported 278 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Wednesday for a cumulative total of 608,678, and they added that five additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Tuesday to Wednesday for a cumulative total of 7,644 since the onset of the pandemic. A total of 33,031 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,680 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
