Three additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Friday for cumulative total of 4,716

Mower County logged 4,585 confirmed and 131 probable COVID-19 cases Friday for a cumulative total of 4,716 since the onset of the pandemic, up three from Thursday, according to statistics released Friday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 42,938 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 597,100 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County now has 13,425 cumulative cases, up one from Thursday, Steele County recorded 3,986 cumulative cases Friday, up one from Thursday and Freeborn County reported 3,478 cumulative COVID-19 cases Friday, up three from Thursday.  Dodge County confirmed 1,877 cumulative COVID-19 cases for a sixth straight day Friday and Fillmore County recorded 1,577 cumulative COVID-19 cases for a 12th straight day Friday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 112 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Friday for a cumulative total of 605,549, and they added that six additional COVID-19 related deaths were reported in the state from Thursday to Friday for a cumulative total of 7,605 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 32,704 COVID-19 patients in the state have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,628 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
