Six residents of Austin facing felony drug charges after execution of search warrant in southwest Austin Thursday morning
Six different residents of Austin are facing felony drug charges in Mower County District Court after the execution of two search warrants in southwest Austin on the morning of Thursday, February 20th.

Chief of Police Dave McKichan reported that law enforcement officers from the Austin Police Department, the Mower County Sheriff’s Office and the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Enforcement Team executed the search warrants related to drug activity at adjoining apartments in the 1000 block of 2nd Avenue Southwest. Authorities recovered over six grams of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine, and five individuals at the scene, 48-year old Jerry Hoy, 20-year old Kron Stevenson, 37-year old Andrew Alexander, 25-year old Cody Larson and 24-year old Bethany Kuehn were all taken into custody.
All five are facing a felony 5th degree drug possession charge, and a sixth individual, 44-year old Kalvin Cotton was arrested later in the day in connection with the search warrant. Cotton is facing a felony 1st degree controlled substance crime in Mower County District Court.
