Seven additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Tuesday for cumulative total of 4,551

Mower County logged 4,427 confirmed and 124 probable COVID-19 cases Tuesday for a cumulative total of 4,551 since the onset of the pandemic, a rise of seven from Monday, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 41,099 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and just over 549,100 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County confirmed 12,949 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, up 19 from Monday.  Steele County recorded 3,724 cumulative cases Tuesday, a rise of 14 from Monday, Freeborn County reported 3,348 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, up six from Monday, Dodge County now has 1,762 cumulative cases, up five from Monday and Fillmore County recorded 1,528 cumulative COVID-19 cases for the second straight day.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,088 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Tuesday for a cumulative total of 570,518, and they added that 12 new COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Minnesota from Monday to Tuesday for a cumulative total of 7,091 since the start of the pandemic.  A total of 29,918 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the pandemic started, and 6,081 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
