Mower County Auditor/Treasurer Mark Felten stated in a news release that property tax payment methods available include paying in person at the Mower County Government Center, 201 1st Street NE, Austin.  The hours are from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday, and you are asked to please enter through the main entrance on the northwest side of the Government Center.  Felten stated that you can also pay your property taxes by mail using the Property Tax Payment Drop Box at the Mower County Government Center, located just outside the main entrance on the northwest side of the building.  Felten noted that the drop box is accessible 24 hours a day, or he stated that you can pay online by going to the Mower County website www.co.mower.mn.us, then click on Services,” then Property Taxes,” and then Property Tax Payment Options. Convenience fees do apply when making a tax payment on-line.

Felten went on to ask Mower County property owners to please include the payment stub from their property tax statement when making payment in person, by mail, or when using the payment drop box.  Payments postmarked on or before October 17th will be accepted as timely paid, because the normal due date of October 15tj falls on Saturday.
