Second half real estate taxes in Mower County due Friday, October 15th

A reminder from the Mower County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office that second half real estate, or property taxes are due Friday, October 15th.

Auditor/Treasurer Scott Felten stated in a news release that payment methods available include paying in person at the Mower County Government Center in downtown Austin from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, you can also pay by mail, or by using the property tax payment drop box at the Mower County Government Center located just outside the main entrance on the northwest side of the building, or also by going online to the Mower County website at www.co.mower.mn.us, then clicking on “services,” then “property taxes,” and then “property tax payment options.”  

Felten went on to remind taxpayers to include the payment stub from their property tax statement when making payments in person, by mail, or when using the payment drop box. Payments postmarked on or before October 15th will be accepted as timely paid, and if anyone has any questions, you can contact taxpayer services at (507) 396-8219, or (507) 396-8220.

A reminder that second half agricultural real estate taxes and second half mobile home property taxes are due Monday, November 15th.
