The Austin Chapter of the Salvation Army will be putting out their “counter kettles” this Friday, November 15th, and red kettle stands will start to go out on Friday, November 22nd at Jim’s Super Value and at HyVee.  KAUS spoke with Stacy Wisemore, Office Manager/Volunteer Coordinator with the Austin Salvation Army who stated that volunteering to ring a bell at a red kettle for two hours is a great way for those who cannot afford to donate to give back this holiday season…

Wisemore went on to state that registering to man a red kettle is easy to do, and she added that there are a lot of hours to be filled…

Remaining red kettle stands will be set up on Friday, November 29th at Sterling Main Street Runnings, both doors at Wal-mart and at the Hobby Lobby.  Wisemore went on to state that the goal this year for red kettle collections is $80,000, and she added that you can give to the campaign this year for the first time with your phone…
