Salvation Army in need of Red Kettle ringers for the holidays

The Salvation Army is already looking for Red Kettle bellringers for their holiday fundraising drive which begins in only a few weeks.
The Northern Division’s Dan Furry says 4,500 two hour shifts remain unfilled in the Twin Cities, and bellringers are definitely needed here in Greater Minnesota as well.
“If you sometimes feel like you’ve forgotten what Christmas is all about, come out and ring a bell for an hour or two and you’ll soon remember,” Furry says. “People put money in kettles when there are people there ringing a bell. People love to get wished a Merry Christmas.”
Furry says 65% of the Salvation Army’s funding is raised in the last three months of the year, according to Furry. That money is used to help struggling families throughout the year.
