A Rose Creek man found to be in possession of nearly five pounds of marijuana in his residence after a search by law enforcement in October of 2018 has been sentenced to supervised probation in Mower County District Court.

65-year old Terry Lee Morgan was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty in July to charges of 3rd degree drug possession and 4th degree sale of marijuana.

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office reported that they discovered 4.9 pounds of marijuana, 20 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana growing equipment, a digital scale and zip top bags when they searched Morgan’s home on October 19, 2018.  Authorities reported that Morgan also lived within 300 feet of a city park in Rose Creek.
