Republicans say they’re disappointed that Governor Tim Walz is not moving faster to re-open businesses in Minnesota.  The governor announced that starting Monday, all customer-facing retail businesses can do curbside pickup plus delivery.  KAUS News spoke with State District 27A Representative Peggy Bennett, a Republican from Albert Lea who stated that the Governor’s decision, in her view, is a gut punch to local small businesses….

Bennett went on to state that the decision to reopen businesses should be made on a county-by-county basis, and not a one-size-fits-all method….

House Republican Minority Leader Kurt Daudt stated that Minnesota retailers are ready to safely serve customers curbside, “but if their large competitors can be open to customer traffic, our smaller retailers should be extended the same opportunity and trust by the governor.”
