If you do not recall receiving a tax statement, please call the Auditor-Treasurer’s office at 507-437-9456 to verify your current address is on file. Per Minnesota state statute, property taxes are due regardless of whether you received a property tax statement or not.
By Minnesota state statute, a penalty will be added on October 16 if payment is not made timely. Tax payments postmarked on or before October 15 will be accepted as timely paid.
Another reminder for taxpayers who missed the May 15 first half tax payment due date, please make payment as soon as possible to minimize penalties for late payment. An additional penalty will be added November 1, 2019.
Felten went on to state that property owners have until Friday, November 15 to pay second half Agricultural real estate taxes and second half Mobile Home property taxes.
