Recipe of the Week : Maple Cookies

Baking mini pound cakes in silicone molds shaped as on owls.

MAPLE COOOKIES

Ingredients:

1 Cup Softened Butter

1 Cup Packed Brown Sugar

1 Egg

1 Cup Real Maple Syrup

1 Teaspoon Vanilla

2 Teaspoons Baking Soda

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

4 Cups All Purpose Flour

1/3 Cup Sugar for Rolling

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets

In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Add egg, syrup and vanilla. Mix until well blended. Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda. Stir into wet mixture until well blended. Shape into 1″ balls and roll in sugar. Place on cookie sheet about 2″ apart and flatten slightly.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
