A Racine woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Goodhue County late Sunday afternoon.  

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2011 GMC Terrain being driven by 55-year old Todd Richard Uptagrafft of Racine was northbound on Highway 61 at approximately 5:35 p.m. Sunday afternoon when it collided  with a 2015 Lincoln Navigator being driven by 28-year old Ellen Elizabeth Taylor of Red Wing, which was southbound and turning left onto Spring Creek Avenue North.  

Uptagrafft was uninjured but a passenger in his vehicle, 54-year old Trisha Marie Uptagrafft of Racine suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing.  Taylor and two passengers in her vehicle, a female infant and a 7-year old male juvenile both from Red Wing were all uninjured. The State Patrol reported that road conditions were dry at the time of the accident, and all parties involved were wearing their seatbelts.

The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office, the Red Wing Police Department and Red Wing Fire and Ambulance all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
