Princeton woman injured in two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 218 north of I-90 in Austin Saturday afternoon

A Princeton woman suffered non-life threatening injuries in a two-vehicle accident on northbound U.S. Highway 218 north of Interstate 90 in Austin Saturday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2013 Mazda 3 being driven by 74-year old Richard Bruce Tonn of Princeton was traveling northbound on Highway 218 at approximately 2:32 p.m. Saturday afternoon, while a 2010 Chevy Malibu being driven by 27-year old Garrin Andrew Loveland of Austin was westbound on Interstate 90 in the left turn lane when the two vehicles collided.  

A passenger in Tonn’s vehicle, 49-year old Anjanett Renee Palmer of Princeton suffered non-life threatening injuries, and she was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin for treatment.  Loveland, Tonn, and another passenger in Tonn’s vehicle, 9-year old James Rol Sparrow of Princeton were all uninjured.

The State Patrol reported that all parties involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts, and the Austin Police and Fire Departments assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Saturday afternoon.
