Preston man sentenced to prison time on felony 1st degree DWI charge in Mower County District Court

A Preston man who pleaded guilty to a felony DWI charge in Mower County District Court after a traffic stop on December 11th, 2020 has been sentenced to prison time, plus fines and fees.

43-year old Scott Jason Kellogg was convicted and sentenced Friday to 57 months in prison, plus just over $5,400 in fines and fees for a felony charge of 1st degree DWI, alcohol concentration of .08 or higher.  A felony charge for 1st degree DWI, under the influence of alcohol, a gross misdemeanor charge for driving after revocation, inimical to public safety, a misdemeanor charge for open bottle and petty misdemeanor charges for possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the case were all dismissed with Kellogg’s guilty plea in the case, which took place on March 18th of this year.
