Pedestrian from Austin struck by vehicle in Rochester Friday night listed in stable condition

A pedestrian from Austin who was struck by a vehicle in Rochester Friday evening is now listed as being in stable condition.

Rochester Police reported Monday that the victim, 31-year old Derek Langendorfer of Austin, is still receiving treatment at Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital.  

Authorities reported that the incident occurred in the 1800 block of 19th St. NW as Langendorfer  attempted to cross the street and was struck.

The driver of the vehicle was a 26-year-old male from Mantorville. The incident remains under investigation.
