Overby Orthodontics Prep Athletes of the Week named!

Congratulations to this week’s KAUS Overby Orthodontics Prep Athletes of the Week, Marissa Shute and Sydney Lewis of the Austin Packers girls cross-country team, and Kya McManus of the Pacelli Shamrocks girls cross-country team!

Shute, a junior, and Lewis, a freshman both qualified for the State Class AA Individual Girls Cross-Country Meet at the Section 1AA cross-country meet in Albert Lea Thursday, as Shute earned a third trip to the state meet by finishing sixth overall with a time of 20:39.30, and Lewis is heading to the state meet for a second time as she placed seventh with a time of 20:40.  McManus, a freshman for the Shamrocks will be making her first appearance at the state meet as she qualfied by taking seventh overall with a time of 20:39.65 at the Section 1A cross-country meet in Rochester Thursday.  The State Cross-Country Meet will be held on Saturday, November 4th at the University of Minnesota’s Les Bolstad Golf Course.
