Overby Orthodontics Prep Athlete of the Week named!

Congratulations to this week’s KAUS Overby Orthodontics Prep Athlete of the Week, Ailani Thiravong of the Austin Packers girls golf team!

Thiravong, who is one of four 8th graders in the starting lineup for the Packers, and who has been the team’s top player this season carded an 83 to lead the squad in a Big 9 Conference triangular versus Albert Lea and Owatonna at the Austin Country Club Monday, and at the 11-team Willinger’s Invitational in Northfield Wednesday, Thiravong again fired the low score for Austin, leading the way with a 91.  The Packers will undoubtebly look to Thiravong to help lead the way as the squad heads down the home stretch of the regular season, with their next meet coming up at North Links Golf Club in Mankato Monday, May 15th against Mankato West, Mankato East and Northfield in a Big 9 Conference quadrangular.
