Overby Orthodontics Prep Athlete of the Week named!

Congratulations to this week’s KAUS Overby Orthodontics Prep Athlete of the Week, Dakota Retterath of the Austin Packers baseball team!

Retterath, a sophomore catcher for the Packers has been helping to pace the squad offensivley as of late, as he was 1 for 3 with a stolen base in a 7-2 win over Owatonna at Dick Seltz Field in Austin Wednesday, he also picked up one of Austin’s five hits in three trips to the plate with a RBI Tuesday in a loss to Northfield, and Retterath went 3 for 4 with two RBI’s and two runs scored in a wild 15-14 win last Saturday at home versus Plainview-Elgin-Millville.  Retterath also knocked in Austin’s only run in a recent matchup with Big 9 Conference rival Mankato West, the No. 1 ranked team in the state in Class AAA.
