Overby Orthodontics Prep Athlete of the Week named!

Congratulations to Logan Kelly of the Austin Packers boys’ swimming and diving team, this week’s Overby Orthodontics Prep Athlete of the Week!

Kelly, a junior for the Packers has been one of the leaders for Austin the entire season, as last Saturday Kelly, along with Trey Meyers, Rafe Dolan Peterson and Aaron Knoll were first in the 4 x 50 medley relay at the Cougar Relays in Mankato with a time of 1:41.04, plus he broke the Mankato East pool record in the 100-yard breaststroke with his time of 58 seconds in the 3 x 100-breaststroke relay.  Kelly was at it again Thursday night in Owatonna as he set the Owatonna High School pool record in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 58 seconds flat.  The next fastest swimmer in the event was Caleb Belting of Owatonna at 1:07.97, almost 50 seconds behind Kelly in second place.  Kelly was also part of the 200 medley relay team that took first with a time of 1:46.59, he was first in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:00.78 and he was also a member of the 200 freestyle relay team for Austin that took first with a time of 1:37.40.  The Packers defeated the Huskies in the meet 98-81.
