One person suffered non-life threatening injuries in a two-vehicle accident late Wednesday evening on westbound Interstate 90 in eastern Mower County.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria being driven by 38-year old Christina Norine LaLone of Rochester was traveling westbound on I-90 near milepost 204 in Racine Township in Mower County at approximately 9:45 p.m. Thursday night along with a 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada being driven by 19-year old Megan Rose Shanahan of St. Charles.  The State Patrol reported that the vehicle being driven by LaLone went into the ditch, followed by the vehicle being driven by Shanahan.  

LaLone suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.  Shanahan and three passengers in her vehicle, 21-year old Aireal Jackee Harris of Austin, 20-year old Christine Arlene Cotton of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and 21-year old Annteneque Lenise Cotton of Milwaukee, Wisconsin were all uninjured.  

The State Patrol reported that the road was covered with snow and ice at the time of the accident, and they added that all parties involved were wearing their seatbelts.  The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Fire Departments from Grand Meadow and Stewartville and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
