One addtitional COVID-19 case recorded in Mower County Thursday for cumulative total of 4,714

Mower County logged 4,583 confirmed and 131 probable COVID-19 cases Thursday for a cumulative total of 4,714 since the onset of the pandemic, up one from Wednesday, according to statistics released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 42,932 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 597,000 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation

Olmsted County recorded 13,424 cumulative cases Thursday, up one from Wednesday, Steele County reported 3,985 cumulative cases Thursday, up two from Wednesday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,475 cumulative COVID-19 cases for a third straight day Thursday.  Dodge County now has 1,877 cumulative cases, which was unchanged for a fifth straight day Thursday and Fillmore County recorded 1,577 cumulative COVID-19 cases for an 11th straight day Thursday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 102 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Thursday for a cumulative total of 605,488, and they added that five additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Wednesday to Thursday for a cumulative total of 7,599 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 32,688 COVID-19 patients in the state have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,627 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
