One additional COVID-19 case recorded in Mower County Wednesday for cumulative total of 4,751

Mower County logged 4,617 confirmed and 134 probable COVID-19 cases Wednesday for a cumulative total of 4,751 since the onset of the pandemic, up one from Tuesday, according to statistics from the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 43,036 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 598,300 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 13,467 cumulative cases Wednesday, up one from Tuesday, Steele County reported 3,998 cumulative cases Wednesday, also up one from Tuesday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,491 cumulative COVID-19 cases Wednesday, which was up one from Tuesday.  Dodge County now has 1,882 cumulative cases, unchanged from Tuesday and Fillmore County recorded 1,585 cumulative COVID-19 cases Wednesday, which was also unchanged from Tuesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported that 208 positive COVID-19 tests were recorded in the state Wednesday for a cumulative total of 607,069, and they added that three additional COVID-19 deaths were recorded in the state from Tuesday to Wednesday for a cumulative total of 7,630 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 32,900 COVID-19 patients have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,664 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
