One additional COVID-19 case recorded in Mower County Monday for cumulative total  of 4,668

Mower County logged 4,541 confirmed and 127 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 4,668 since the onset of the pandemic, up one from Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 42,249 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and just over 579,600 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 13,270 cumulative cases Monday, up two from Sunday, Steele County reported 3,898 cumulative cases Monday, up four from Sunday and Freeborn County now has 3,421 cumulative COVID-19 cases, which was unchanged from Sunday.  Dodge County confirmed 1,855 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up one from Sunday and Fillmore County recorded 1,567 cumulative cases Monday, which was unchanged from Sunday.

The MInnesota Department of Health reported 589 positive COVID-19 tests in  the state Friday for a cumulative total of 595,016, and they added that no additional COVID-19 related deaths were reported in state from Sunday to Monday to keep the cumulative total at 7,296.  A total of 31,398 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,393 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
