One additional COVID-19 case recorded in Mower County for second straight day for cumulative total of 4,752

Mower County logged 4,618 confirmed and 134 probable COVID-19 cases Thursday for a cumulative total of 4,752 since the onset of the pandemic, up one for the second straight day Thursday, according to statistics from the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 43,047 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and nearly 598,400 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County reported 13,468 cumulative cases Thursday, up one from Wednesday, Steele County recorded 4,001 cumulative cases Thursday, up three from Wednesday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,494 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up three from Wednesday.  Dodge County reported 1,882 cumulative cases for a third straight day Thursday and Fillmore County remained at 1,585 cumulative COVID-19 cases also for a third straight day Thursday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported that 216 positive COVID-19 tests were reported in the state Thursday for a cumulative total of 607,278, and they added that two additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Wednesday to Thursday for a cumulative total of 7,632 since the onset of the pandemic. A total of 32,914 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,665 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
