No new COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Monday for cumulative total of 4,706

Mower County logged 4,576 confirmed and 130 probable COVID-19 cases for a cumulative total of 4,706 since the onset of the pandemic, which was unchanged from Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Mower County had reported two additional cases from Friday to Saturday, and health officials stated that 42,757 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus.  Over 593,500 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 13,373 cumulative cases Monday, up three from Sunday, Steele County reported 3,971 cumulative cases Monday, up one from Sunday, Freeborn County confirmed 3,461 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up two from Sunday, Dodge County now has 1,874 cumulative cases, which was unchanged from Sunday and Fillmore County reported 1,572 cumulative COVID-19 cases for the seventh straight day Monday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 196 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 602,880, and they added that there were two additional COVID-19 related deaths in the state from Sunday to Monday for a cumulative total of 7,467 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 32,243 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,548 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
