No new COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County from Sunday to Monday to keep cumulative total at 4,544

Mower County logged 4,420 confirmed and 124 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 4,544 since the onset of the pandemic, which was unchanged from Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 41,043 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and just over 547,000 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County reported 12,931 cumulative cases Monday, up 12 from Sunday, Steele County recorded 3,711 cumulative cases Monday, up one from Sunday, Freeborn County now has 3,341 cumulative COVID-19 cases, a rise of eight from Sunday, Dodge County reported 1,757 cumulative cases Monday, up five from Sunday and Fillmore County logged 1,528 cumulative cases Monday, up one from Sunday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,197 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 569,440, and they added that no new COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Minnesota from Sunday to Monday to keep the cumulative total at 7,079.  A total of 29,736 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the pandemic started, and 6,051 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
