No new COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County for a third straight day Wednesday

For a third straight day, Mower County logged 4,575 confirmed and 130 probable COVID-19 cases for a cumulative total of 4,705 since the onset of the pandemic, according to statistics released Wednesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 42,878 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and just over 593,300 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County reported 13,406 cumulative cases Wednesday, which was unchanged from Tuesday, Steele County recorded 3,978 cumulative cases for a fourth straight day Wednesday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,471 cumulative COVID-19 cases for a third straight day Wednesday.  Dodge County now has 1,878 cumulative cases, which was unchanged from Tuesday and Fillmore County reported 1,576 cumulative COVID-19 cases Wednesday, which was unchanged for a fourth straight day Wednesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 84 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Wednesday for a cumulative total of 604,758, and they added that five additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Tuesday to Wednesday for a cumulative total of 7,555 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 32,561 COVID-19 patients in the state have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,608 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
