No new COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County for a seventh straight day

No new COVID-19 cases were recorded by the Minnesota Department of Health in Mower County for a seventh straight day Friday, leaving the county with 4,577 confirmed and 130 probable COVID-19 cases for a total of 4,707 since the onset of the pandemic, according to statistics released Friday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 42,846 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 595,500 have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 13,393 cumulative cases Friday, a rise of two from Thursday, Steele County reported 3,977 cumulative cases Friday, up one from Thursday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,469 cumulative COVID-19 cases Friday, which was unchanged for a fourth straight day.  Dodge County now has 1,878 cumulative cases, which was unchanged from Thursday and Fillmore County recorded 1,574 cumulative COVID-19 cases for a fifth straight day Friday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 115 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Friday for a cumulative total of 604,291, and they added that four additional COVID-19 related deaths were reported in the state from Thursday to Friday for a cumulative total of 7,531 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 32,500 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,596 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
